Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using Return Trip. By using our platform, you agree to the following.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Return Trip.
  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
  • Your account is personal and non-transferable — you may not share login credentials with others.
  • Return Trip reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • Users must have a valid Bangladeshi mobile number for verification purposes.
  • All ride bookings must be made through the official Return Trip app only.
  • Passengers must be at the agreed pickup point on time. Drivers may cancel after a 10-minute grace period.
  • The number of passengers must not exceed the seats booked. No additional passengers are allowed without prior agreement.
  • Passengers must not carry illegal items, hazardous materials, or anything prohibited by Bangladesh law.
  • Return Trip is a carpooling platform — drivers are private individuals, not professional transport operators.
  • Payments are processed via bKash, Nagad, or cash as agreed between passenger and driver.
  • Fares shown are estimates — final fare may vary due to route changes or waiting time.
  • Refunds are issued within 3–5 business days for cancellations made before the trip begins.
  • No refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations made less than 1 hour before departure.
  • Return Trip charges a small platform fee on each completed booking, which is non-refundable.
  • Free cancellation is allowed up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • Cancellations made within 1–2 hours of departure may incur a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations within 1 hour of departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Drivers who cancel without valid reason more than 3 times may have their account suspended.
  • In case of emergencies, users may contact support to waive cancellation fees on a case-by-case basis.
  • Drivers must hold a valid Bangladeshi driving licence and have a roadworthy, registered vehicle.
  • Drivers must not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs judgement.
  • Drivers are responsible for ensuring passenger safety throughout the entire journey.
  • Drivers must follow all Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) regulations at all times.
  • Any accidents, incidents, or disputes must be reported to Return Trip support within 24 hours.
  • We collect only the data necessary to operate the platform — name, phone number, location, and trip history.
  • Your data is never sold to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
  • Location data is only collected during active trips and is not tracked in the background.
  • You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting support.
  • We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your personal information.
  • Return Trip is a technology platform connecting drivers and passengers — we are not a transport company.
  • We are not liable for accidents, injuries, delays, or losses occurring during rides arranged through the platform.
  • Disputes between drivers and passengers should first be resolved through our in-app support system.
  • Unresolved disputes will be subject to the laws of Bangladesh and jurisdiction of Dhaka courts.
  • Return Trip reserves the right to modify these terms at any time with 14 days notice via the app.
